Correct option is (b) Coupled assay

The best explanation: The reaction catalyzed by ornithine decarboxylase is an example of coupled assay. In this assay, L-[1-C^14] ornithine is used which liberates radioactive CO2 which can be trapped by a suitable base such as ethanolamine dissolved in 2-methoxyethanol. Then the radioactivity is measured by scintillation counting.
