If cytosine is deaminated, which of the base is formed?

(b) Guanine

(c) Adenine

(d) Uracil

This question was addressed to me in an interview for internship.

Query is from Precautions and Drawbacks in section Polymerase Chain Reaction of Genetic Engineering

Right option is (d) Uracil

For explanation I would say: If cytosine is deaminated it leads to the formation of Uracil. This Uracil is further read as Thymine during DNA synthesis.
