Which of the following is used to count the number of cells?

(a) Haemoglobinometer

(b) Haemocytometer

(c) Spectrophotometer

(d) Flowcytometry

This question was addressed to me in an interview for internship.

The question is from Yeast Condition and Surplus Yeast in portion Yeast Management & Microbiology of Fermentation Technology

Correct answer is (b) Haemocytometer

The best I can explain: Haemocytometer is used to count the number of cells. It is a counting chamber device that is usually used to count the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, spore counting, etc.
