Right option is (d) EDTA

To explain I would say: EDTA is a divalent chelator which chelate the metal ions such as Mg^2+ and Ca^2+ which are important for cell wall stability. There is an electrostatic interaction between highly electropositive and electronegative compounds which provide gently cell lysis. EDTA along with some other efficient agents can help in proper n complete cell lysis.
