What should be the transplanting depth of paddy?

(a) 2-3 cm

(b) 4-5 cm

(c) 8-9 cm

(d) 6-7 cm

My question comes from Sowing Equipments in portion Sowing Equipments of Farm Machinery

Correct choice is (a) 2-3 cm

The best I can explain: In case of shallow planting, the tiller buds which are formed at the basal node area are suppressed in the soil. Hence, the transplantation depth of the paddy seedlings should be 2-3 cm only.
