Correct answer is (b) False

To explain I would say: The downstream depth is not affected by the bridge as it is governed by the hydraulic characteristics of the d/s channel. Hence, greater is the reduction in the linear waterway, greater is the afflux. It is assumed that the upstream depth before the bridge construction is the same that prevails even after the bridge construction.
