The correct answer is (d) carrier matrix

The best I can explain: The surface on the matrix on which an enzyme is immobilized is referred to as the carrier matrix. Enzyme immobilization means confining an enzyme to a confined space. Biosensor is an analytical device which convert biological response into an electrical signal. The enzyme is bound to a suitable adsorbent, thus rendering the enzyme immobile. This method is called adsorption.
