My question is taken from Seepage Pressure and Upward Flow topic in division Seepage Analysis of Geotechnical Engineering I

Correct choice is (c) j=iγw

For explanation: The seepage force per unit volume j is given by,

J=J/V

Where,  J= iγwzA

V=zA

∴ j= iγwzA/zA

∴ j=iγw.
