Which of the following can absorb dissolved phosphorus from sewage sludge?

(a) Phosphorus accumulating microbes

(b) Magnesium accumulating microbes

(c) Copper accumulating microbes

(d) Zinc accumulating microbes

This question was posed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

The question is from Microbial Recovery of Phosphate in division Bioleaching and Biomining for Recovery of Resources of Environmental Biotechnology

The correct option is (a) Phosphorus accumulating microbes

The best I can explain: Phosphorus accumulating microbes in the sewage sludge are known to absorb dissolved phosphorus in the wastewater, the microbes then store it in their cells. Magnesium accumulating microbes, copper accumulating microbes and zinc accumulating microbes are not used to absorb dissolved phosphorus from sewage sludge.
