Find the input current for the circuit given below.

(a) IZ = 0.5372mA

(b) IZ = 1.581mA

(c) IZ = 2.436mA

(d) IZ =9.347mA

This question was posed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My question is taken from Multiplier and Divider in chapter Operational Amplifier Applications of Linear Integrated Circuits

Accurate choice is (b) IZ = 1.581mA

For the easiest explanation: Input current, IZ = -(Vx×Vo)/(Vref×R) = -(4.79v×16.5v)/(10×5kΩ) = 1.581mA.
