I got this question by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

My question is from Indian Rivers and Their Classification in portion Rivers Behaviour, Control and Training of Irrigation Engineering

To elaborate: The Non-Himalayan Rivers are more stable compared to Himalayan Rivers as they flow through non-alluvial rivers. They also pose no risk of a rise in high floods during rainy seasons because these rivers draw their waters from these seasons itself.
