I got this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

Right choice is (a) 0.0005 microns

To explain: The pore size of RO membrane is 0.0005 microns, this is smaller than the size of the sodium chloride molecule which has the size of 0.0007 micron and will not let it through membrane.
