Easiest explanation: Organic pollutant being more persistent in the environment can be effectively removed by various biological processes, duck weed ponds having high nutrient harvesting efficiency and rapid growth properties convert these organic and nutrient load in the waste water by syntrophic interactions of floating weeds and biofilms which are suspended in waste water which convert organic pollutants into fish biomass, so, it doesn’t decrease the fish biomass, Oxygen is required for oxidation process and water is not decreased.
