Which of the following substance can be used for soil reclamation?

(a) Gypsum

(b) Citric acid

My question comes from Dose topic in chapter Environmental Impact of Pollutants and Analysis of Dose – Effect Relationship of Environmental Biotechnology

Correct answer is (a) Gypsum

The best I can explain: Gypsum is the byproduct of the certain acids like Citric acid, Phosphoric acid, Oxalic acid which are released from manufacturing industries, whereas, the byproduct I.e. gypsum is used for sodic soil reclamation.
