The correct option is (a) Denitrification

To elaborate: Denitrification is the loss of nitrogen or nitrogen compounds, such as reduction of nitrates or nitrites by bacteria that results in the escape of nitrogen into the air. Denitrification of deposit bottles is done before re-use as it contains nitrogen which is added to the water as part of the label glue. Whereas, Nitrification, Glycolysis, Esterification is not involved in this process.
