Right option is (b) Is controlled by a signal from an external controller

Explanation: The solenoid valve is controlled by a signal from an external controller operating to control temperature, pH, etc. It can be installed on the outlet side of the rotameter. Whereas a rotameter consists of the flow tube and the float. The mass flow controller is the most expensive way of controlling the gas flow. A peristaltic pump consists of the rotor and housing.
