The correct option is (a) diversion dam

The best I can explain: Nangal Dam is a subsidiary dam which is 95 feet high on the downstream of Bhakra on Satluj. This dam heads up the water of the river and then diverts it to off-taking canals from the banks. Bhakra dam and Talwara dam are storage dams.
