Which of the following is the highest stone masonry gravity dam of India as well as of the world?

(a) Ramganga dam

(b) Nagarjuna Sagar dam

(c) Hirakud dam

(d) Mettur dam

I had been asked this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

My question is taken from Important Dams of India topic in division General and Particular Dams of Irrigation Engineering

The correct choice is (a) Ramganga dam

The explanation is: Ramganga dam is earthen and rockfill dam which is 128 m high. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is 125 m high, Hirakud dam is 59 m high, and the Mettur dam is 70 m high; they all are stone masonry gravity dams.
