What is the other name given to weir type escape?

(b) Venturi Flume

(c) Tail Escape

The question was asked by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My question is based upon Types of Canal Escapes in portion Regulation Modules and Canal Structure of Irrigation Engineering

Correct choice is (c) Tail Escape

For explanation I would say: The weir type escape is generally provided at the tail end of the canal and is used to maintain the required FSL in the tail reaches of the canal. Hence the name tail escape.
