My question comes from Soil Samples and Samplers in portion Stabilisation of Soils, Site Investigation and Sub – Soil Exploration of Geotechnical Engineering II

Right choice is (a) False

The explanation: The sampler should never be over driven so as to compress the sample. When the sampler is over driven, the soil sample gets compressed due to the air locked between the sampler and the sample.
