After the process, the catalyst gets deactivated, how it can ge regenerated?

(a) Burning off the carbon in air

(b) Replacing the catalyst

(c) Using brine solution

I had been asked this question during an internship interview.

I would like to ask this question from Fluid Catalytic Cracking in portion Industrial Applications of Fluidized Beds of Fluidization Engineering

Correct option is (a) Burning off the carbon in air

Easy explanation: Carbon which gets adsorbed on the catalyst has to be burnt off.
