After having a hot environment in the chamber, what is released?

(a) Carbon dioxide

(b) Volatile matter

(c) Oxygen

(d) Water vapour

This question was addressed to me in my homework.

My enquiry is from Gasification of Coal and Coke in chapter Industrial Applications of Fluidized Beds of Fluidization Engineering

Correct option is (b) Volatile matter

For explanation I would say: Materials with low boiling point get evaporated in the furnace.
