The explanation: Salt is mixed with water and it dissolves because the covalent bonds of water are stronger than the ionic bonds in the salt molecules, the table water present under Earth consists of natural mineral water which can be used for drinking purposes but little amount of salts are added to it to balance the electrolyte content of water.
