I got this question by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My doubt stems from Media for Industrial Fermentations topic in division Media for Industrial Fermentations of Fermentation Technology

To explain I would say: Iron influences the production of Mitomycin. Mitomycin is an important drug which is used to treat different types of cancer. Mitomycin is obtained from a soil fungus.
