I have been asked this question in my homework.

My doubt stems from Integrated Circuits, Types & Manufacturer’s Design in chapter IC Fabrication of Linear Integrated Circuits

The accurate answer is (d) Find the pin number

For a clear picture: A notch and dot as viewed form top view is used to find the pin terminal. The terminals are numbered counter clockwise.
