I had been asked this question in exam.

My doubt is from Diversion Head Works in portion Diversion Head Works, Hydraulic Jump Usefulness in Irrigation Structure of Irrigation Engineering

Correct answer is (b) Masonry or Concrete Sloping Weir

The best explanation: This type weir is of recent origin. They are much suitable for soft and sandy foundations and are generally used when the difference between the weir crest and downstream river bed is limited to 3 metres.
