Right answer is (a) Combined System

Best explanation: In this system water is first stored at upstream side of the dam for power generation and then discharged back into the river at the downstream side of the dam. Thus, sufficient quantity of flow is again available in the river. At a suitable place in downstream pick-up weir is constructed to divert water to canals.
