(b) tangential component only

(c) coriolis component only

(d) radial and tangential components both

I had been asked this question during an interview.

I'm obligated to ask this question of Linear Acceleration topic in section Kinematics & Kinetics of Motion of Machine Kinematics

Correct option is (a) radial component only

The explanation is: The centripetal or radial component, is perpendicular to the velocity of the particle at the given instant.

The tangential component, is parallel to the velocity of the particle at the given instant.
