Which of the following compound is used in the extraction of gold mining?

I had been asked this question during an internship interview.

Right answer is (b) Cyanide

Easy explanation: Cyanide is used in the extraction in gold mining to separate the gold from the unwanted and uneconomic materials whereas,  Liquid Nitrogen is used to break the cell walls of a cell, and Oxygen and ammonia are not used for extraction for gold mining .
