The question was posed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My doubt stems from Mechanical Aeration System, Treatment of Sludge topic in section Sewage Filtration and Activated Sludge Process of Environmental Engineering

Correct answer is (b) Diffuser plate and paddles

The best I can explain: In combined aeration, both diffused air aeration and mechanical aeration take place using both diffuser plate and paddles.
