I had been asked this question by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

I want to ask this question from Mechanical Aeration System, Treatment of Sludge topic in section Sewage Filtration and Activated Sludge Process of Environmental Engineering

Right option is (a) Dewatering

For explanation I would say: Dewatering is the process of removal of water from the sludge. It can be done by drying or subjected the sludge with pressure.
