(b) There will be no flow along the streamtube

(c) There will be no flow both across the streamtube and along it

I had been asked this question during an interview.

The doubt is from Types of Flow Lines in section Kinematics of Flow and Ideal Flow of Fluid Mechanics

Right choice is (a) There will be no flow across the streamtube

The explanation is: Streamtube is a fluid mass bounded by a group of streamlines. Since, the movement of the fluid mass can only be along the streamlines and never across them, there will be no flow across the streamtube.
