What is the velocity profile for Poiseuille flow?

(b) Constant

(c) Linear

(d) Quadratic

This question was posed to me in class test.

I want to ask this question from Navier-Stokes Equations of Motion topic in section Fluid Dynamics of Fluid Mechanics

Correct choice is (d) Quadratic

The explanation is: The velocity profile for Poiseuille flow is zero at either side of the channel and non-zero in the middle. Therefore, Quadratic equation is the only possible option here.
