My doubt is from Plane Trusses topic in chapter Trusses of Finite Element Method

The correct answer is (d) \(\frac{x_2-x_1}{l_e}\)

Best explanation: A truss is a two node element which allows arbitrary orientation in XYZ co-ordinate system. Planar truss is one where all the members and nodes lie within two dimensional plane.
