Which leaching agent is used for the slow decomposition of refractory gold ores?

(a) Nickel

(b) Sulphur

(c) Cyanide

(d) Molybdenum

The question was posed to me in my homework.

The origin of the question is Metal Recovery by Bioleaching Process topic in division Bioleaching and Biomining for Recovery of Resources of Environmental Biotechnology

Right option is (c) Cyanide

The best I can explain: Cyanidation process is used to help the refracted gold ores to decompose slowly. Cyanide is used as it binds easily with gold ores and makes it soluble in water and this allows the gold to separate from rock.
