Which factor depends upon the depressions of the terrain and causes water logging?

I have been asked this question in my homework.

My question is based upon Causes of Water-logging in division Water Logged Reclamation and Saline Soils for Agricultural Purposes of Irrigation Engineering

Right choice is (a) Irregular Topography

The explanation is: In hilly areas, the water is drained quickly, but in case of flat or irregular terrains having depressions the drainage is not adequate. This leads to more stagnation of water causing percolation and rising of water table.
