This question was addressed to me in homework.

My question is based upon Extraction Equipments in division Liquid Extraction of Mass Transfer

The correct answer is (b) Gravitational force

The best I can explain: In extractor the light liquid enters the bottom and also the extractor is vertical so gravitational force is a motivational force.
