Which of the following is correct regarding disposal of waste by land filling?

(a) Economical method

(b) Preferred in low lying areas

(c) Foul gases are not produced

(d) Separation of different types of waste not required

I had been asked this question by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

The doubt is from Municipal Solid Waste in portion Solid Waste Management, Aerobic & Anaerobic Stabilization Units of Environmental Engineering

Correct option is (c) Foul gases are not produced

To explain I would say: Land fill gases are produced during the dumping of waste. They are foul smell creating unhygienic conditions.
