What does CNC stand for in the context of aerosol particles?

I have been asked this question by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

The correct option is (b) Condensation nucleus counter

The best I can explain: To measure the number concentration of aerosol particles, we use a condensation nucleus counter which counts particles of even 0.003 micron diameter.
