Right choice is (a) Nitrogen gas

The explanation is: Ammonia is converted into nitrate by the process of nitrification which is converted into nitrogen gas by the process of denitrification and released into the atmosphere, nitrate cannot be converted into nitrate again, sulphate group and carbon dioxide is not released in this process.
