When does the pressure difference increase in filtration?

Right choice is (a) If the constant rate is maintained

The best explanation: As the thickness of the cake increases the resistance to flow of filtrate increases and rate of filtration gradually decreases. If rate is maintained to be constant then pressure difference driving force will increase.
