My doubt stems from Inverted Siphon, Storm Regulator and Sewage Pumping in section Construction of Sewers, Sewer Appurtenances and Sewage Pumping of Environmental Engineering

Easiest explanation: The septic tank and pump chamber should be placed at shallow depth as it will result in easier inspection, repairment and maintenance of them.
