The correct choice is (a) Oxidation ponds

To explain I would say: The treatment of wastewater by the interaction of sunlight, bacteria, and algae using large, shallow ponds are called as Oxidation ponds, in the process of photosynthesis, the algae releases oxygen which is needed by aerobic bacteria to reduce the BOD load of waste water, Deoxygenation pond and Anaerobic ponds requires the absence of oxygen which is not a process in the oxidation pond, Algal pond.
