The minimum thickness for double reduced steel is ______

(a) 0.16 mm

(b) 0.12 mm

(c) 0.18 mm

(d) 0.10 mm

This question was addressed to me during an internship interview.

My question is from Manufacture of Tinplate in chapter Metal Packaging Materials of Food Packaging Technology

Right answer is (b) 0.12 mm

For explanation I would say: Minimum thickness for double reduced steel is 0.12 mm for double reduced (DR) plate. Cold rolled steel is also known as double reduced.
