In which method of population forecasting, increase in population from decade to decade is assumed constant?

I had been asked this question by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My question is based upon Population Forecasting in portion Water Demand and Quantity of Environmental Engineering

For explanation: In the arithmetic increase method, Dp/dt = K where Dp/dt = rate of change of population and K is a constant. So, the increase in the population from decade to decade is assumed constant.
