My doubt stems from Velocity of Sound or Pressure Wave in a Fluid topic in chapter Compressible Flow of Fluid Mechanics

Right option is (a) Shear wave

For explanation I would say: Transverse wave is also called as a shear wave. Transverse wave or shear waves occur only in solids. It occurs only in solids because only solids support elastic deformations. It is also called as an elastic wave.
