The correct answer is (a) Spent carbon

For explanation: Organic solvents are potential wastes which should be purified. The processes of purification of organic solvents usually generate wastes like spent carbon, spent catalyst and filters with organic liquids in them. Methane, high water content, less water content, are the wastes generated in other treatment methods and not in the purification processes for organic solvents.
