The correct choice is (d) Decrease in mortality rate

To explain: Increase in mortality rate, irreversible illness, threat to the environment and humans when not disposed of properly are several ill-effects of improper handling of hazardous waste. But this definitely doesn’t decrease the mortality rate as it poses serious threats and potential hazard to human health.
