I'm obligated to ask this question of Capillary Water in division Soil Water Effective and Neutral Stresses of Geotechnical Engineering I

Correct option is (b) Concave

To elaborate: Since the soil pores always carry adsorbed water, the meniscus formation in capillary tube will always be concave.
