I would like to ask this question from Interparticle Force in a Soil Mass topic in division Soil Structure and Clay Minerology of Geotechnical Engineering I

Right answer is (c) Proportional to mass

To explain I would say: When the mass of the particle increases, the gravitational force acting downward on the particle increases. Hence both mass and gravitational force are proportional to each other.
